Anton Bauer, Feuersbrunn Zweigelt 2018

Flag of Austria

Anton Bauer is the fourth generation winemaker of his family's 29ha estate in Wagram, Austria. Cutting his teeth in Burgundy before taking over the family business, Anton got an appreciation for traditional cool-climate winemaking. In that vein, everything he does in the vineyard and winery is by hand, believing it is that uncompromising attention to detail which produces the best wines. Feuersbrunn Zweigelt 2018 is a dark ruby-garnet in colour. The nose has a delicate hint of cherries and a subtle herbal spice; the palate is medium-bodied, with further notes of red cherries and cranberry, fine tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is nice and long; it's a really versatile wine and perfect for those who love Pinot Noir or Gamay but fancy something new.
